At Econstruct we are very mindful of not becoming a company which is 'all talk and no action'. We endeavour to practice what we preach both at work and in our personal lives. We endeavour to involve ourselves with Team Members, Subcontractors and Suppliers who are passionate about conservation and sustainable building and living.
Here are some ways we are trying to make the world a better place through our business practices and also some useful links to like-minded organisations and businesses.
Resource Usage
The Australian
Orangutan Project
The staff here at Econstruct actively support The Australian Orangutan Project through it's adoption program. Did you know that this beautiful creature is facing extinction within 10 years due to deforestation? In an act of true self sacrifice we sell and eat chocolates to raise funds to sponsor Carlos as shown below.

At Econstruct Head Quarters we are ever mindful of our resource usage. Here are some ways in which we try to reduce our carbon foot print:
- We purchase Second Hand where ever possible, including office furniture, printers and work utes. OK, some of the desks don't quite match but, hey.... think of the extra trees that remain standing as a consequence.
- We utilise the services of WA Onsite Recycling for our onsite waste management and Western Recycling for office paper recycling.
- We have a strict, "Everything off except the fridge" policy when we leave the office.
- We use Eccopanels to heat the office in cooler months.
- Both Geoff Britton and Phil Crogan choose to drive Toyota Prius Hybrid vehicles.
The purchase of all other company vehicles is done in consultation with www.greenvehicleguide.gov.au.
Carbon Neutral
All our vehicles are Carbon Neutral. Carbon Neutral was started by Men of the Trees. They have actively planted over 30 million trees in some of the most environmentally vulnerable areas of Australia.
No Christmas Card policy
In Lieu of sending Christmas cards, Econstruct prefer to donate a sum of money to a worthy organisation at the years end, such as UNICEF, Greenpeace and other worthy organisations.
