Our Background

Econstruct was established in 2002 by Phillip Crogan, a Registered Builder, and Geoffrey Britton, a Quantity Surveyor. Both partners have been involved in the Western Australian construction industry for over 12 years and have managed many and varied construction projects and contract types.

Econstruct was formed through a mutual desire by the Partners to build Projects that focused on minimising environmental impact and maximising modern and traditional technologies to achieve a more comfortable and sustainable living environment.

Our Focus

The building industry has traditionally been a major consumer of non-renewable resources, contributing to the depletion of our environment & natural resources. Econstruct focus on reversing that trend to a sustainable level, and on providing a finished product that is energy and resource efficient.

Phil Crogan Construction Manager Phil started his career in the building industry by studying Architecture for two years, then started working for a commercial building company whilst completing studies in Construction. Phil has over fifteen (15) years experience in the local building industry, including positions in contracts administration, supervision and project management, working for three construction companies in Perth. Phil also spent two (2) years as a project administrator in Melbourne working on the design and construction of telecommunication facilities in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales. After returning to Perth, he founded a partnership in Econstruct in September 2002, and realized a personal passion for energy efficient and sustainable building.

Geoff Britton General Manager Geoff spent seven (7) years in the UK as a Quantity Surveyor, working up from apprentice to Senior level and working on a number of commercial building projects. In Australia, Geoff has spent ten (10) years as a Project Manager and Contracts Administrator, working for two commercial construction companies in Perth. Having a mutual passion for energy efficient and sustainable building, he then founded a partnership in Econstruct in September 2002.
